Don't be caught out by the new Road Tax regulations

Authorised Treatment Facility
To comply with ELV regulations vehicles can only be scrapped and decommissioned at an Authorised Treatment Facility for the de-pollution of scrap cars. Failure to do so means that the last registered user will be required to continue paying Road Tax until the proper paperwork is submitted!
 

Certificate of Destruction
Christie & Son have invested in a dedicated End of Life Vehicle facility which is fully approved by SEPA and the DVLA for the certified disposal of vehicles in accordance with the new legislation. As an Authorised Treatment Facility we carry out the proper de-pollution of vehicles and then supply you with the necessary Certificate of Destruction.

Mobile Car Baler
We also operate a Louritex 150 tonne Mobile Car Baler which can be dispatched to other authorised treatment facilities sites so that de-polluted vehicles can be baled for transportation to our Renfrew site.

This is of huge benefit to other Vehicle End of Life Facilities since on-site baling greatly reduces vehicle storage and transportation costs. The Louritex is also fitted with its own grab so that baled cars can be quickly loaded onto our own trucks for immediate removal.
